NEET UG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To appear for NEET UG, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility:

  • Age Limit: Minimum age should be 17 years as of 31st December of the year of admission.
    (There is no upper age limit as per latest NMC guidelines.)
  • Qualification: Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects.
  • Minimum Marks Required:
    • General: 50%
    • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
    • PWD (General): 45%

NEET UG 2025 Exam Pattern

The NEET UG paper has four subjects, each divided into two sections:

    • Unattempted: 0 marks

Application Process

NEET UG application process is completely online through the official NTA website.

NEET UG Admit Card

The admit card is usually released 2-3 weeks before the exam. It contains:

Make sure to carry the admit card, a passport-size photo, and a valid photo ID on the exam day.


Exam Day Guidelines

  • Reach the exam center at least 2 hours early

NEET UG Result and Counselling

  • Result Declaration: Typically within 30-40 days of the exam

Counselling Process:

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ): Conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)
  • 85% State Quota: Conducted by respective State Counselling Authorities
